Meghan Trainor has opened up about the unexpected consequences of her recent cosmetic procedures, admitting that she had too much Botox, leaving her unable to smile.
The "All About That Bass" singer shared her experience during a candid conversation on her podcast, "Workin On It" with Meghan Trainor and her brother Ryan Trainor.
“I got too much Botox and I need help,” Trainor confessed on the podcast. “Everywhere I go, I cannot smile. My face hurts to smile, to even try. I messed up.”
Trainor, known for her chart-topping hits like "Made You Look" and "Lips Are Movin", also discussed trying a “lip flip” procedure, which uses filler above the upper lip to create a fuller look.
Unfortunately, the procedure didn’t deliver the results she was hoping for.
“Someone convinced me with my little lips that if you did a lip flip … you could have a beautiful flip on your upper lip. It was not true,” she said.
In addition to her Botox mishap, Trainor revealed plans for a breast augmentation, a decision influenced by the changes in her body after breastfeeding her children.
“My mommy boobies were full of milk and now they’re empty, and then full of milk, and now they’re empty,” she explained.
“I’ve lost some weight, and I have saggy sacks as boobs. I’ve always joked and said for years, ‘I can’t wait till I can get a boob job.’ It might be new for all of our listeners, but I have wanted this my whole life.”
Trainor is not the first celebrity to talk about cosmetic regrets. Actor Meg Ryan, known for her roles in "When Harry Met Sally" and "Sleepless in Seattle", has admitted that she regretted her Botox treatments, saying her appearance changed drastically and she did not like the way her face looked afterwards.
Supermodel Cindy Crawford, while not explicitly stating regret, has voiced concerns over the pressures in the modelling industry to undergo cosmetic procedures.
She believes Botox can sometimes leave people looking unnatural and has expressed caution about overdoing it.
Courteney Cox, who famously portrayed Monica Geller on "Friends", has also spoken about her regret after using Botox and fillers.
She admitted to going too far with the treatments, which altered her appearance in a way she didn’t desire. Cox eventually stopped using cosmetic enhancements and embraced a more natural look.
