GLAMOUR in Full Bloom: Hair & Beauty Master-Class exceeds expectations

The first-ever GLAMOUR Hair & Beauty Master-class took place on Saturday, October 26, at The Venue in Melrose Arch…and it was an event to remember!
Co-hosted by GLAMOUR’s editor-in-chief and renowned actress and model, Phuti Khomo, the day was a resounding success with attendees arriving in droves excited for a transformative experience.
Kicking off the day’s festivities at 11am, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation for the wealth of knowledge that was about to unfold. The first session, the Beauty Masterclass, kicked off with a dazzling presentation by MAC National Artist, Mokgadi Shogole, who captivated the audience with techniques for achieving the perfect spring/summer glowy skin and sleek satin lips.
Following this, Skin Functional expert Kevin Khosa led a comprehensive Q&A session with Nontando, and attendees had the unique opportunity to delve deeper into skincare, gaining insights into the Skin Functional brand.
The excitement continued as attendees engaged in a Q&A with trichologist and hair transplant technician Rhulani Hlabana, who at lunchtime also treated guests to a personalised scalp analysis, further enriching their understanding of hair care.
After a brief break, the spotlight shifted to the Hair Masterclass, beginning with a session led by Kavim Ragbir, Head of ORS & Long Lasting South Africa. Participants learned about effective hair care routines and had the chance to ask questions in a candid discussion with Kavim, Linda, and Krissy, moderated by GLAMOUR Features Editor, Thobeka Phanyeko.
Next up was the Portia M Hair Care Q&A session with Thobeka, where Portia Mngomezulu shared her expertise and insights into the brand, as well as skin and hair health.
To wrap up the bustling day, attendees had the opportunity to visit beautiful activations from Bio Sculpture who treated guests to nail treatments, ORS treated attendees to complimentary hair makeovers, transforming looks and boosting confidence. Long&Lasting shared valuable insights and showcased their exceptional products, demonstrating their expertise
Portia M's activation stand was a treasure trove of hair and beauty essentials, offering an impressive array. Skin Functional made a lasting impression with striking branding throughout the venue, impressive product displays and interactive photobooth for memorable moments. Delicious drinks by MCC brand Gorgeous and Aperol Spritz kept the guests hydrated with drinks throughout.
