From Port Elizabeth to Cape Town’s luxury property scene, Nicole Chetty is quickly becoming one of the most recognisable young faces in high-end real estate.

In just a year and a half, Chetty has built a reputation as a luxury real estate advisor while simultaneously growing a powerful online presence that has attracted thousands of followers and international attention.

Armed with a BCom in Business Management, Chetty entered the property industry with a clear vision and relentless drive.

“I’ve always been drawn to industries that are fast-paced, people-driven and centred around lifestyle and aspiration,” she says.

Growing up in Port Elizabeth helped shape her ambition and discipline early on. Today, those qualities are helping her navigate one of South Africa’s most competitive markets: luxury real estate in Cape Town.

For Chetty, property is about far more than transactions.

“Real estate is never just about selling homes - it’s about understanding people, their goals, and the life they envision for themselves,” she explains.

“The luxury market especially fascinated me because of the level of detail, sophistication, and service involved.”

That people-first approach has become central to her success. In an industry where trust and relationships are everything, Chetty says professionalism, consistency, and personal branding have been key pillars in establishing credibility.

Her hard work has already earned her recognition on international real estate platforms, along with a Top 5 ranking in mandates and sales for the first quarter of the year.

Luxury real estate, she says, operates differently from the traditional market.

“Clients in this market expect a high level of professionalism, discretion, market knowledge and personalised service,” says Chetty.

“It’s not simply about listing a property - it’s about understanding a client’s lifestyle, investment strategy, and long-term goals.”

Beyond property sales, Chetty has also mastered the art of digital influence.

With more than 30,000 followers across social media platforms, she has successfully positioned herself as both a real estate professional and a lifestyle brand.

“It was very intentional from the start,” she says of building her online presence.

“Platforms like Instagram and TikTok allow people to connect with your personality, your work ethic, and your lifestyle beyond just property listings.”

Social media has become an essential part of modern luxury real estate, particularly in lifestyle-driven cities like Cape Town, where international buyers continue to show strong interest in premium property.

According to Chetty, demand remains high for turnkey homes, secure estates, and properties offering wellness-focused living and ocean views, especially in sought-after areas like the CBD and Atlantic Seaboard.

“Cape Town continues to attract both local and international buyers because of its lifestyle, natural beauty, and investment potential,” she says.

While her career may appear glamorous from the outside, Chetty admits that balancing client demands, negotiations, property viewings and constant content creation can be intense.

Still, she thrives in the fast-paced environment.

“No two days are ever the same, which is part of what I enjoy most,” she says. “Consistency and discipline are key.”

As a young woman in the luxury sector, Chetty says one of her biggest challenges has been proving herself in an industry where experience is often questioned.

“There can sometimes be assumptions made about your experience or capabilities,” she says.

“I’ve had to work very hard to build credibility and earn trust quickly.”

Despite the pressures, Chetty remains focused on growth. Her long-term vision is clear: becoming one of South Africa’s leading names in luxury real estate.

“I want my legacy to be the impact I’ve had on people - how I made clients feel, the professionalism I brought to the industry, and the standard I set for myself and others,” she says.

For aspiring professionals hoping to break into luxury real estate or build a personal brand, her advice is simple: “Be patient, stay consistent, and focus on building genuine relationships. Success doesn’t happen overnight.”
