Lady Gaga has had to cancel her final show in Montréal, Canada, due to a medical issue.

After performing back-to-back concerts at the Bell Centre on April 2 and 3, the singer was scheduled to take the stage one more time on Monday night before returning to the United States for the final stops of her Mayhem Ball tour.

The performance was called off on the advice of her doctor, and Gaga shared the news on her Instagram Story just hours before the show.

“Hi everyone. I’m so sorry to share that I’m unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show,” she wrote.

“I’ve been fighting a respiratory infection for the past few days and doing everything I can to rest and recover, but it’s gotten worse. My doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today and to be honest I don’t think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve.”

Gaga added, “I know how deeply disappointing this is, and I truly could not feel worse about letting you down. I’m so sorry to everyone who made plans to be there and support me."

"Being in Montreal and performing for you on Thursday and Friday was magical and deeply meaningful. To everyone who was coming tonight, I’m absolutely heartbroken and so sorry.”

The Mayhem Ball began in July 2025 and was initially planned to end in January 2026 following shows in Japan. In September, Gaga announced additional North American dates, extending the tour through to April.

This is not the first time the Grammy winner has had to cancel a show due to health reasons. In September, she postponed a concert at the Kaseya Center in Miami after experiencing vocal strain. That show was rescheduled for March 2026.

Later this week and next Monday, Gaga is expected to perform the final shows of her tour in Saint Paul, Minnesota and New York City.

Gaga is among several artists who have recently had to cancel or postpone performances due to health concerns.

Billy Joel confirmed in late February that all scheduled concerts through early July 2026 are cancelled. The 76-year-old singer was diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus, a brain disorder affecting hearing, vision and balance, which worsened after recent live shows.

The Goo Goo Dolls cancelled the remaining Canadian dates of their tour earlier this month. Frontman John Rzeznik was diagnosed with pneumonia and is still recovering.

Saskatchewan singer Colter Wall announced last month that he is taking an indefinite break from live music, cancelling the remainder of his US tour to focus on his mental health.
