“Big Brother Mzansi” season six housemate Thandeka Tshabalala continues to top trends, creating conversation around her name, thanks to her antics in Biggie’s house.

The 30-year-old bookkeeper from KwaZulu-Natal may have viewers split on whether they love her, but one thing is certain: she is standing out in the house.

During her stay in the house, Thandeka has done a few things that have left the housemates and viewers questioning her hygiene practices. She has dried her wig near the oven and even washed her face in the sink.

On Sunday’s eviction episode, host Smash Afrika highlighted Thandeka’s actions, which have been shunned.

Smash questioned Thandeka about how she washes her face in the kitchen sink over the dishes, how she dried her wig in the oven, and how she steams her face in a cooking pot. “Is that hygienic?” he asked.

Thandeka was unmoved by Smash’s questions and explained that she dried her wig by the oven because the hair dryers had not been delivered yet, and had to get ready for the live nomination.

Thandeka defended washing her face at the sink, stating that the nearby dishes were dirty. However, Thandeka did not directly answer whether it was hygienic or not.

In her introductory interview with Mzansi Magic, Thandeka explained that her life experience would help her win "Big Brother Mzansi".

“I am always flexible and adaptable. I am not new to a different living environment, and I think that now having lived in Italy for 8 years speaks for itself. I am fluent in Italian.”
