Content creator Dalia Grande recently took TikTok by storm with her unique dating strategy, explaining why she covers herself in glitter before a first date.
In a viral video, she showcased her routine, spraying her body and outfit with glitter while Cyndi Lauper’s "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" played in the background.
She wore a little black dress as she prepared for the date, captioning the video, “Going on a first date because I’m at the age where they could be married (married men HATE glitter).”
Her theory? If the man she’s dating is married and things get intimate, the glitter would transfer onto him, potentially exposing his infidelity to his spouse.
The video quickly went viral, amassing over 18 million views and 2 million likes, with viewers praising her clever approach.
Many applauded her “glitter mist technique,” with some saying they’d adopt the method to deter cheaters.
Others in relationships joked about using the hack to keep their partners faithful.
“She’s protecting herself and helping other women out—I’m here for it,” one commenter wrote.
Another quipped, “That amount of glitter spray will repel married men, mosquitoes, bears, and vampires.”
One woman humorously commented, “I’m gonna start wearing glitter and hugging my man before he goes out,” calling it an “Uno reverse.”
Even a married man chimed in, saying, “I hated glitter before I got married, but this is actually a pretty good idea, girl.”
Another viewer agreed, writing, “Yesss, that’s a good idea… 38 and getting back into dating again… no doubt this is a good hack. Smart.”
