Tyla, who is British Vogue’s March cover girl, recently showed off her cooking skills.

The award-winning star decided to cook pap, boerewors and chutney for Vogue’s ‘Now Serving’ series.

She even shared how to make a Margarita cocktail in her cooking demo.

“My mom used to make this all the time when I was younger,” she tells viewers as she starts making the cocktail.

While mixing the drink she admits that it’s the first time she made the drink which is pretty evident since she doesn’t really know what goes into the drink even though all the ingredients had been set out for her.

“My mom is probably going to shout at me and like ‘You’re drinking!’”, she says as she continues to make the classic cocktail.

After successfully making the drink she moves on to what she decided to cook up for Vogue.

‘I’m not the best cook. I can cook to survive,” admits the 23-year-old as she struggles to chop the chillies for her chutney.

“I love food. I just don’t like cooking it. I can make you some stuff. But don’t be expecting a three-course meal every night because I’m not one of those girls. I’m not like Nara Smith,” she adds.

As she fries the onion and garlic she offers the ladies some advice.

“If you're inviting a guy over and you want to make it seem like you cook, fry onions, garlic and chillies. A guy will imagine that you are cooking a gourmet meal. It works. It’s a hack”

She then moves on to cooking the boerewors.

“I don’t know what’s in a boerewors. I think it’s a bunch of meats mixed together into a sausage,” she explains.

She then whips out a bag of maize meal from her zebra print handbag and proceeds to open the bag using her teeth.

“You can literally make so many things,” she says about the humble ingredient.

Even though she says she’s not a professional at making it she confidently adds that it will turn out well anyway.

“Don’t worry about the process,” she adds.

As she continues to stir the pap she admits that it’s starting to feel like a workout.

“I feel like I have one bicep,” she reckons.
