In a recent podcast interview, Zayn Malik shared that he was never in love with the mother of his child, Gigi Hadid.

Former One Direction star Zayn Malik candidly admitted his true feelings towards his ex, Gigi Hadid.
Appearing on the recent episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, the singer reflected on his dating life and touched on his relationship with the supermodel, admitting that he doesn’t know if he was truly “in love” with her.
The host asked Malik if he stood by a past interview comment where he said he had never been in love.
He replied: "Yeah, because my understanding of love is always developing.
“At that moment in time, I might have thought it was love, but as I’ve got older, I’ve realised maybe it wasn’t. Maybe it was lust. Maybe it was this. Maybe it was that. I don’t feel like it was love.”
He continued to share that he will “always” love Hadid because she gave birth to their daughter before admitting how he truly felt.
“To be fair, just to say this on record, I will always love G [Gigi] because she’s the reason my child is on this earth.
“I have the utmost respect for her. I will always love her. But I don’t know if I was ever in love with her,” Malik confessed.
Malik and Hadid first started seeing each other in 2015, and the pair went on to date until 2021 after they broke up.
According to multiple online reports, the pair had an on-and-off relationship until they welcomed their first child, Khai, together in 2020.
During the conversation on the podcast, Malik shared that even though he is single, he no longer wants a public relationship since he decided to make his personal life private.
He also added that public relationships are just not for him.
“I’ve just learned from it that it don’t work for me. I’m quite a private person. I don’t really strive for people’s approval or attention. So the relationship should really be between me and that person,” he shared.
