Old Mutual Music at the Lake has returned and kicks off on Sunday in celebration of Mother's Day with a concert featuring South African artists Mi Casa and Shekhinah.
The concert on May 11 will start at 2pm and take place at the Durban Botanic Gardens, set against the lush, tranquil backdrop of the gardens’ iconic lake area. It promises to be an afternoon of soulful sounds, celebration, and family-friendly fun.
Guests are encouraged to take picnic blankets, camping chairs, and their own food and drinks.
Bandile Mngoma, senior manager of sponsorships and events at Old Mutual, said they were proud to support the Music at the Lake series, a celebration of togetherness, local talent, and cultural pride.

Mi Casa, renowned for their infectious house grooves and feel-good energy, will light up the stage with hits that have become part of the country’s soundtrack.
They will be joined by powerhouse vocalist and platinum-selling artist Shekhinah, who is famous worldwide for her emotive blend of pop and R&B.
Proceeds from the concert will go to the Garden Window Project, an innovative programme driving people and plant development within the Durban Botanic Gardens.
