Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla quits MK Parliament seat amid trafficking allegations and ongoing terrorism trial.

DUDUZILE Zuma-Sambudla has resigned as Umkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party Member of Parliament amid allegations of her role in recruiting and trafficking young South African men into the Russian war zone.

This was revealed at a uMkhonto we Sizwe (MK) Party media briefing in Durban on Friday morning.

In addition, she is currently facing trial in the Durban High Court over the July 2021 unrest. Her charges include terrorism and inciting violence. 

Meanwhile the Democratic Alliance (DA) laid charges against Zuma-Sambudla for human trafficking, saying 19 men remain in Russia, including the 17 South Africans, now in dangerous spots.

The party wants her probed for endangering lives and breaking laws.

South Africa’s ambassador to Russia has confirmed that “prominent South Africans” misled the men.
