A tragic video shows a man fatally shooting himself while being recorded by his cousin on his mobile phone.

The man from East Delhi has been identified as Pawan Kumar, whose actions were captured on video, although the cousin filming seemed oblivious to Kumar's grave intentions.

Delhi Police reported that they received an emergency call from Dharamshila Hospital in Vasundhara Enclave about a patient with a gunshot wound on Monday.

Kumar had been taken to hospital in an unconscious condition with a gunshot wound on the left side of his chest. Doctors declared dead on arrival.

The grim investigation revealed that Kumar had used a licensed pistol belonging to his cousin, Himanshu, to inflict the fatal wound.

The police have since seized the firearm, along with ten live cartridges, and are currently analysing Himanshu's mobile phone, which holds the shocking video recording of the incident.

Preliminary evidence suggests that Kumar was handling the weapon when he tragically shot himself, despite warnings from the person recording.

Based on medical findings, video evidence, and surrounding circumstances, a case has been registered.

The chilling video, which has also surfaced online, shows Kumar inserting a magazine into the pistol while his cousin records him. At one point, the person behind the camera is heard instructing him, saying, “Click the button, it will go inside.”

After inserting the magazine, Kumar is seen cocking the weapon. The person recording cautions him, saying, “Don’t fire it.” However, moments later, Kumar placed the gun on the left side of his chest, briefly looks at the camera, and smiles before pulling the trigger.

He collapsed immediately as blood gushes from the wound, leaving the person recording in shock, and could be heard shouting, “Bhai, kya kar diya tune? (What have you done?)".

Police officials stated that all angles are being examined as part of the ongoing investigation.
