IOL Charges against two suspects in the Lusikisiki mass murders have been dropped, while six others remain linked to the case involving the deaths of 18 individuals.

Charges have been dropped against two men arrested in connection with the Lusikisiki mass murders.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said in court on Monday, the charges against Lwando Abi, 33, and Zenande Paya, 38, were withdrawn.
Initially eight men were charged with the murders of 18 people who were gunned down on September 28, 2024.
The two shooting incidents claimed the lives of 15 women and three men.
The six men have also been linked to the murder of politician Mncedi Gijana in KwaBhaca on 19 August 2024.
NPA spokesperson Luxolo Tyali said the matter was adjourned to April 14, 2025 and was transferred to the Mthatha High Court.
The six accused are Mzukisi Ndamase, 46, Siphosoxolo Myekethe, 45, Aphiwe "AP" Ndende, 25, Bonga Hintsa, 31, Mawethu Nomdlembu, 36, and Songezo Vuma, 20.
They have all abandoned their bail application.
The accused face 18 counts of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping, robbery with aggravating circumstances, unlawful possession of prohibited firearms, illegal possession of weapons and ammunition.
The alleged mastermind is currently serving a life sentence for murder.
