When it comes to planning a getaway, who takes the reins?

A recent survey reveals that women find men more attractive when they take charge of booking trips.

According to Booking.com, a staggering 93% of women believe that a partner who plans and books a trip is incredibly appealing.

But wait, there’s more.

Over half of the respondents (56%) claim that a well-planned trip can be just as arousing - if not more - than foreplay. And it gets even better: 68% of women think they’d be happier if their partners occasionally whisked them away on spontaneous adventures.

In fact, 93% of women find a surprise, fully booked vacation downright sexy. Who knew that planning could be so alluring?

Interestingly, many women rate this effort as more attractive than a chiselled physique or a hefty paycheck.

That’s right, gents; your trip-planning skills might just outshine your gym routine!

The survey, which included 1,000 US respondents aged 18 and older in romantic relationships, also revealed that men are aware they could step up their game.

A whopping 89% of men admitted they could take more initiative when it comes to planning trips for their partners. However, here’s the catch: a quarter of them find the whole process overwhelming and would prefer to avoid it altogether.

Among younger men, particularly Gen Z and millennials, one in four confessed that their first thought is often, “I have no idea where to start.”

Optimistically, two-thirds of men said they’d be more inclined to book a trip if they knew extra affection was part of the deal.

So, to help you charm your partner with a perfectly planned getaway, here are five tips to get you started:

  • Be flexible with dates and destinations: Use flight comparison tools to hunt for the best deals. Generally, flying on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays can save you a pretty penny. Flexibility is key!
  • Book flights and hotels separately: While package deals can be tempting, booking flights and accommodation separately often leads to better prices and more options. It’s like a treasure hunt for the best deals!
  • Use incognito mode and set alerts: Searching for flights in incognito mode helps you dodge price hikes based on your search history. Plus, setting fare alerts will keep you in the loop about price drops. It’s like having a personal travel assistant!
  • Leverage travel apps and tools: Make the most of travel apps for seat selection and use Google Maps to check how close hotels are to attractions. The right tools can make planning a breeze!
  • Check detailed reviews and policies: Always read hotel reviews on multiple platforms (like TripAdvisor and Google) and check cancellation policies. This way, you can avoid any nasty surprises if plans change.
