Cape Town - With President Cyril Ramaphosa set to deliver his Opening of Parliament address to outline the key priorities and policies of the seventh administration, a number of road closures will take place.

The seventh administration will be made up of several political parties that formed a Government of National Unity (GNU), and on Thursday, Ramaphosa will address the nation at City Hall in the CBD.

As a result a number of roads will be closed – with some closures staying in place until July 26 2024.

The road closures will be in effect to assist with traffic flow and accommodate the address.

The City of Cape Town said that this will affect the normal flow of traffic in and around the city bowl.

“Road users are requested to acquaint themselves with the closures and to plan their routes accordingly.

“Motorists should also note that there will be restricted parking in some areas,” the City said.
