Amapiano star Sir Trill has called on his South African fan base to help him secure a spot as the opening act for Chris Brown’s upcoming tour in South Africa.
The musician made the request on Instagram, saying that he, along with Amapiano artists, Daliwonga and Young Stunna, should be part of the line-up for the highly anticipated concert.
In his Instagram story, Sir Trill, whose given name is Tumelo Zwane, posted that, “MZANSI MAKE ME @sirtrillsa @daliwonga_sa @youngstunna_rsa OPEN FOR @chrisbrownofficial,” which sparked immediate reactions from fans across social media, debating on whether Sir Trill and his collaborators are the right fit to open for the American R&B star.
This comes after Chris Brown’s announcement on Monday, that he will be performing at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on December 14.
Tickets for the show are set to go on sale on October 3 through Ticketmaster, with music lovers already gearing up for what promises to be a busy month of live performances as Tyla will also be performing in South Africa this December.
Sir Trill’s request has received a variety of responses, with some fans fully supporting the idea, while others are sceptical about whether he is the right choice to share the stage with the global superstar.
