Sis Gugu has been evicted from the Big Brother Mzansi house. On Sunday night, the public relations professional bid farewell to the house and fans of the show did not hold back and took to social media to share their reactions.

Some viewers found “Sis Gugu” to be a “boring” housemate who didn't bring excitement or drama to the show, and many agreed that she should have been evicted.

X was flooded with comments like: “She brought nothing but shades and boots; she must leave.”

Gugu's forgettability was her biggest downfall. Despite her X fame, her face was only memorable because of her online presence, not because of any significant contributions she made to the controversial show.

There was only one moment when she sparked some interest, was when she got into a heated altercation with Savage, another former housemate who was evicted. That glimpse of her personality was definitely short-lived, it was not enough drama which is something sought by Big Brother Mzansi viewers.

Many fans felt that Gugu did not bring enough fire or entertainment value to the show. @AmbrielleH46515 wrote: “You gave us nothing Gugu, all the best”

However, not everyone was celebrating her eviction.

A few fans expressed sympathy for the eliminated housemate, saying she was not given a fair chance since the voting lines closed early after Kay B’s disqualification.

@Msndlebenkomo wrote: “Not fair, Gugu's fans were not given enough time to vote.”

While @Alegang_Kkoman wrote: “I wish her all the best, she really fought to be in the Big Brother house since she was 19 years old.”

Due to Kay B’s disqualification, last week’s voting was immediately closed since Kay B was in the voting round for eviction. According to Big Brother, the decision to close voting lines was to ensure fairness and to adhere to voting procedures for all remaining housemates.

Some fans believed that Gugu's experience hosting Twitter Spaces (formerly X spaces) to interact with fans during Big Brother Titans gave her a better understanding of the Big Brother house dynamics, and therefore a better chance to stay in the house longer because she knows what fans want.

@linge_lalu commented: “What made me mad at Gugu was that she knows exactly how Big Brother goes; she knows what the fans want. I mean, she even hosted BBT DStv spaces, so she had that advantage because she interacted a lot with fans, but she still chose to be a snoozefest the first week and a half.”

Despite the mixed reactions, Gugu's eviction is not one that shook up the dynamics in the house like the first eviction which saw Bonnie B and Savage leave the Big Brother house. After her eviction, 20 housemates now remain in the game.
