Renowned South African DJ and music producer Black Coffee has announced his upcoming Cape Town concert, set to take place from February 28 to March 2.
The event, titled "Cape Town Weekender," will be held at The Ostrich, offering a blend of global music and exclusive performances.
Black Coffee took to Instagram to make the announcement, sharing, “The merging of the minds as we bring a taste of the globe to Cape Town, South Africa on February 28, March 1 & 2! Danish electronic group “WhoMadeWho” formed by Tomas Høffding, Tomas Barford and Jeppe Kjellberg, have been confirmed as part of the line up, with the main event scheduled for March 1. Exclusive satellite events will also take place on the Friday and Sunday of the weekender.
The award-winning artist, whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, continues to dominate the international music scene.
In 2023, Black Coffee became the first South African DJ to headline Madison Square Garden in New York, marking a historic milestone in his career. His 2021 album “Subconsciously” earned him a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2022.
Black Coffee has performed at major events like Coachella and has won Best Deep House DJ awards at the DJ Awards in Ibiza.
His 2011 Africa Rising concert in Durban, featuring a 24-piece orchestra, is still regarded as one of the most iconic performances in his career.
