Old Mutual Bank has been sold and its branches will be closed or rebranded as Nedbank branches between January and June 2008.

Old Mutual Bank says its clients will not experience any changes to the accounts and investments they currently have with Old Mutual Bank, and will now have access to Nedbank's wider branch network.

"Since Old Mutual Bank has been operating as a division of Nedbank, clients should not experience any disruption during the integration process," an Old Mutual Bank statement says.

The bank says it plans to implement a campaign to inform clients of the changes.

Old Mutual Bank staff will be accommodated at Nedbank branches, and it is likely that Old Mutual Bank clients will see the same faces when they visit their closest Nedbank branch in the new year, the bank says.
