Amapiano artist Sir Trill recently visited the “L-Tido” podcast, where he shared his frustrations and challenges in the music industry.
During the interview Sir Trill called out a certain individual from the music industry whom he claimed “sabotaged” his career.

He referred to this mysterious person as “grootman”.
Since then, social media detectives have claimed that award-winning music producer, DJ Maphorisa, who is popularly known as the industry’s “grootman”, could be the one Sir Trill was referring to.
Not taking the accusations lightly, Maphorisa took to X where he came with the receipts.
Along with pictures of a WhatsApp conversation with Sir Trill and a proof of payment, the “Manzi Nte” hitmaker wrote: “Maybe his talking about other Grootmans 💔 this young man needs help.”
He said he remembered Sir Trill not showing up for a music video and other gigs, adding that Sir Trill sabotaged his own career.
“I remember him not going to the Music Video ya De Mthuda ‘John Wick’, I knew we gonna have a problem here. Self sabotage n Karma from all the promoters u f***** not pitching those gigs. N F*** L-tido Nyamao san (mother’s c***).”

L-Tido quickly hit back at Maphorisa.
He said: “Phori you a f***** coward Marete a gao, I literally didn’t say s*** about you. Deal with the people you robbing not me.”

Meanwhile, Sir Trill is yet to respond.
