People might wear cheap clothes but when it comes to shoes, they never compromise. Many celebrities are known for wearing expensive clothes and South African singer Sun-El Musician is one of them.

The “Ubomi Abumanga” hitmaker, who recently performed at Zakes Bantwini’s 20th Anniversary Concert at Durban International Convention Centre, looked stylish for the concert.

He looked dapper in green and white but what got people talking was his Air Force 1 x Louis Vuitton sneakers.

The sneakers designed by former Louis Vuitton creative director Virgil Abloh cost a whooping R165 000. And while ordinary citizens may be shocked by the price of the sneakers, such seems to be the norm in the celebrity world.

We have the likes of DJ Black Coffee, who broke the internet in 2020 when he wore one of the world’s most famous sneakers.

The Air Jordan 1 High OG Dior sneakers that Black Coffee owns were part of the Dior Men’s Autumn 2020 capsule collection. They were sold for $26 718 (R462 389) at the time.

“I love mixing different worlds, different ideas – Jordan Brand and Dior are both emblematic of absolute excellence in their fields. To bring them together in this special collaboration is to propose something exciting and truly new,” said Kim Jones, artistic director of Dior men’s collections.

In other news, Sun-El recently dropped a new single, “Inhliziyo”, featuring Mthandazo Gatya, DJ Kenza and Anzo Ngubeni.
