“Panga” Pastor Paseka “Mboro” Motsoeneng is offering a R5000 reward to anyone who knows or can identify the perpetrators who burnt down his church, which he said cost over a million rand.
Mboro, the leader of Incredible Happenings Church, briefed the media in Germiston, Ekurhuleni, on Wednesday after being granted R3 000 bail by the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court last week.
When granted bail by magistrate Katlego Mokoena, Mboro was given strict bail conditions, and he must not be in touch or communicate with witnesses.
“I’m going to give a R5000 reward to anyone who will give information. Who organised that march, who burnt the church … the damages are over a million.
“That tent was big. The sound there it’s hundreds of thousands, the keyboard, the instruments, the chairs, it’s over a million.
“I don’t blame those kids, they were used by 3 families,” said Mboro.
He said he has done a lot for those families.
The church was burnt down a day after Mboro’s dramatic arrest on August 6.
Mboro told the media that his arrest was orchestrated by powerful spiritual leaders, including the runaway Malawian “Major 1” Shepherd Bushiri as well as an organised crime cartel.
A few days ago, a video circulated on social media showing Bushiri telling his congregants that “a man who wanted to see him arrested was currently arrested and in jail in South Africa”.
Mboro said when these families started to attack and harass him, the offices of the authorities (known to The Star) were alerted.
“Until today, a serious case like that, no arrests … one was arrested but the matter was not enrolled in spite of the court order.
“They told me I was not going to do anything about it. Then you have Major 1 Bushiri, going on social media platforms, saying that he is behind my arrest before this, he did mention it,” said Mboro.
He said the dangerous cartel boasted that they had captured the courts, including prosecutors and the police. He said there was a video where they are stating how powerful they are.
“They came and shot at the church, God protected me, some people got hurt, a woman aged 62, blood spilled and a young man of 16 years. They are untouchable,” he said.
On Sunday, Mboro received a warm welcome from his congregants when he attended a church service following his incarceration.
He was rocking a white suit and showcased impressive dance moves while beaming with a wide smile.
He said while in prison, he encountered inmates who were drug dealers and murderers who told him that in prison he was not “Mboro and cannot pray”. He said he prayed.
