When Mihlali Ndamase and Leeroy Sidambe came out publicly about their relationship, it was instantly shrouded in controversy that stemmed from assumptions that the popular influencer Ndamase was seeing a married man.
Ndamase was subjected to slander and judgements on social media that went on for weeks unabated.
It seemed as though most of their followers who were behind the backlash did not quite understand the nature of their relationship until Leeroy Sidambe set the record straight, revealing that he was no longer married to Mary-Jane Sidambe.
In their recent appearance, Leeroy Sidambe and Ndamase were head over heels.
Ndamase looked beautiful aboard a yacht with her lover and shared the special moments with their fans on Instagram Live.
Their fans could not get over their love.
Sidambe clarified that he had been separated for months from Mary-Jane and condemned the bullying against Ndamase.
“In March of this year after many months of trying to make things work, I took steps towards separation from my marriage and the marital home,” explained Sidambe.
“In this time I met a woman that I fell in love with. It has been heartbreaking to see her name dragged daily on social media for loving loudly and boldly. The constant harassment she receives is unbearable and quite frankly not safe for anyone’s mental well-being,” he shared.
“Mihlali Ndamase like all of us is human and has the right to follow her heart on who she loves. She is a self-sufficient woman who has astutely run her business and does not deserve this kind of hateful intrusion upon her life and work.”
