Cape Town - Shark Warrior Adventures, the sustainable tourism adventure company, invites you to experience the once-in-a-lifetime Supermoon from a kayak, at sea.
On Monday November 14, the full moon will appear larger and brighter in the sky than it has been since 1948 and it's occurrence on this date will bring the moon closer to the earth than usual. If you miss this one, it will be an eighteen-year wait for the next one.
In honour of this occasion, Shark Warrior Adventures will be hosting a guided, night-time Supermoon Paddle from their centre on Seaforth beach in Simon's Town in the company of a special guest astronomer.
One of the best places to view the Supermoon will be away from city lights and other bright light distractions and where better to find these conditions than offshore?
Lasting roughly two hours, the Supermoon Adventure will enable an unparalleled view of the Supermoon as it rises to its highest point above the horizon on the evening of Monday, November 14.
The Supermoon Adventure will start at 18:30 for 19:00 with departure to sea at 19:15 sharp as Moonrise is at 19:25.
The cost per person is R350 which includes all equipment. Guests will paddle out in one of Shark Warrior Adventures' brand new, double-seater Fluid kayaks, renowned for their stability and ease of use in all water conditions, in the safety of the Centre's trained sea kayak guides.
